First things first, your actual shoot is only part of the process. I show up with my camera, scout out great lighting and backgrounds, help you feel comfortable, and capture those natural, joyful moments. But that’s only one step of what goes into your photos!

After we’ve wrapped up our shoot, the hard work (and the magic) continues in front of my computer. Editing isn’t just about slapping on a filter; it’s about transforming each photo into something special. Here’s a peek into what happens after the photoshoot:
Culling (a.k.a. Finding the Diamonds in the Rough)
I start by sifting through hundreds of photos to pick out the best ones. I look for the shots where everyone’s smiling, the light is perfect, and the expressions are on point. This part alone can take a while, but it’s so worth it because you end up with the very best images.
Basic Edits (The Foundation of Good Photos)
Here, I adjust the basics, like brightness, contrast, and colour balance. This is where we make sure your photos aren’t too dark or too light and that the colours look natural and vibrant. Each image is given a little polish to make sure it looks beautiful on your screen and when printed!
Detailed Retouching (The Fine-Tuning)
Now, this is where things get into serious magic territory. In this stage, I’ll work on skin tones, remove small distractions in the background, and make other adjustments to make you look your best. But don’t worry, I keep things natural, you’ll still look like you!
Colour Grading (Setting the Mood)
Colour grading is where I give your photos a consistent look, adding warmth and certain tones to create a cohesive set of images. This gives each gallery its unique vibe and helps tell a story!
Final Touches and Quality Control
Before your photos are ready, I do a last quality check to make sure each image is truly at its best. Sometimes I’ll go back to fine-tune a shot to make sure it’s perfect. After hours of attention and love, the final gallery is ready!
